Monali and Shailen’s Parklands Wedding

What an incredible celebration Monali and Shailen’s Parklands wedding was.  Modernising tradition, Shailen arrived with his scarf billowing in the breeze sat up in a convertible, to be danced and drummed into the venue by friends and family and met by his soon-to-be Mother-in-Law for the traditional greeting.  The ceremony was intricate, moving and fun with all the different elements expertly managed and explained by the excellent celebrant. After a few quick portraits and group shots, it was time for lunch and an outfit change for the legal ceremony, then champagne, canapés and finally the evening party with new outfits, dinner, speeches, dancers and an eight tiered cake!

As you can imagine, the saris and accessories were of every colour and style and the sparkles were hypnotising.  The men’s outfits were almost as colourful, combining to make a rich, tableau vivant of texture and colour that was a joy to behold.  I hope you enjoy this wonderful day.
