George and Richard’s Monkey Island Wedding Photography by Bea.
There were so many beautiful features at George and Richard’s Monkey Island Wedding – the ceiling in their suite where George got ready, the lightbulbs strung above the footbridge accessing the island, the beautiful gardens full of rich, autumnal colours – it’s easy to see why they chose this lovely venue to get married.
Having the ceremony in a room seemingly suspended over the Thames, then drinks on the terrace (the rain stopped, yay!) allowed the guests to fully appreciate being on this tiny island on the Thames. After a delicious meal and the speeches (the best man sang his to the tune of songs from ‘Oklahoma!’ – it was wonderful) it was on to the Ceilidh. We love weddings with ‘called’ dances. It doesn’t matter if you can dance or not – the caller helps you through and generally speaking, everyone is equally as new to it. They are always the most crowded dance floors! Finally, it was time for a great send off with fireworks and sparklers, to end a perfect day.
Please enjoy the images.
